    Thanks for bringing attention to this important topic. Narcissists are people who worship themselves and want others to worship them, too. Narcissists play continual games of “king of the hill.” They play dirty and they play for keeps. Parents naturally have power and authority over their children. Good parents use this power and authority to bring their children up. Narcissistic parents use that power and authority to keep their children down. In my book Don’t Feed the Narcissists! The Mythology and Science of Mental Health (, I explain that Snow White’s evil stepmother is a textbook example of a narcissistic parent. She wanted to be “the fairest of them all.” Realising that she couldn’t defeat Snow White in a fair competition, the evil stepmother tried to have Snow White killed. Poor Snow White never saw it coming.
