Anyone in a position of power has the opportunity to be abusive. I experienced both domestic abuse in my personal relationship and abuse from a manager. It destroys your self-esteem and festers into self-doubt or even self-hatred, which makes it easier for the abuse to continue. Too many suffer in silence. That is why I’ve shared both of my stories with the world. I want others to know that they deserve better.
