This can be a problem for some people, but just glancing at this article, I think DSM V has put everybody into a pathological mental state.
Of course, it seems like everyone is, but then would anybody have a mental health issue?

Wow….this describes me and my life till now to a T. If this is the nature of the personality, can anything change these for the better? I am almost 50 and despite amazing talents find myself hiding and avoiding most social situations except educational settings, and can’t seem to communicate or function properly in the workplace with others.I’m unemployed and in pain, and too scared to try another job because I know it will be another failure or rejection. I seem to be able to create and work best alone, despite caring deeply for people I am always seprated, like a ghost..and making contact with the other side takes a lot of energy I don’t usually have. I’m seeing a therapist..just started. Can you recommend anything besides drugs (alreaday taking them) that helps this personality disorder function better in society??
Thanks for this very insightful essay.
